Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to front and spine. Boards show black and gilt flower design, few marks on back board but otherwise in good order. Corners are bumped and worn. Spine is bumped and worn at top and bottom. Page edges are rather grubby. Endpages have slight water staining along the bottom. Textblock cracked between pages 112 and 113, but holding. Frontispiece shows black and white image of 'Mr. Gamble's Apprentice'. Pages are generally clean and bright. 318 pp + adverts. 5 black and white drawing plates are all present, intact and clean.
