Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Gilt emblem to front. No particular bumping or wear to corners. Spine is faded with bumping to top and bottom. Just a couple of spots of foxing to page edges. Blue endpages. B/w photographic frontispiece. Textblock has one or two grubby marks but is mostly clean. 496 pp. Some b/w illustrations. 7 maps. Plain white (as issued) paper dust jacket now with handwritten lettering to spine. DJ has some creasing to both edges. Has been taped internally and there is some foxing.
