Issued to relatives and friends as a lasting memorial of an upright and manly character of a kindly and affectionate disposition of a clear and active intellect and of a very pure and happy life. Brown/blue cloth/card boards with black lettering to spine. Rough cut page edges. Age discolouration to endpages. Portrait frontispiece and 2 other plates, all edges uncut. Occasional mild foxing. Pagination: xv + 87 pp. Contains mainly poems, a little prose. 16 of the poems were written during the conflict. Hobson was killed in action at Ypres in 1917, aged 23.
