A decorative pair. John Kenrick (4 February 1788 � 7 May 1877) was an English classical historian. Volume One: Tan cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Gilt decoration to both boards and spine. 5 raised bands. All edges gilt. Gilt decoration to the inside of the board edges. Boards are generally in good order, just a little shelfwear. Corners are worn, as are the boards edges and the spine. Marbled endpages. Mild foxing to endpages, not affecting the textblock. 509 pp + 4. Bookplate to ffep. Volume Two: Tan cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Gilt decoration to both boards and spine. 5 raised bands. All edges gilt. Gilt decoration to the inside of the board edges. One or two minor marks to the boards. Rear board has been badly bumped and has bent. Corners are worn, as are the boards edges and the spine. Marbled endpages.
