He wrote over a dozen books on gardening and several more on natural history and related subjects. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and front. Rose design to front board and spine. Boards are generally in good order, just a little grubby. Slight bumping to corners. Board edges are grubby and rubbed. Spine is a little age darkened with bumping to ends. Age discolouration to endpages. Colour frontispiece. Some foxing to the endpages, mild foxing to the textblock. B/w illustration. 294 pp + adverts + index.
