Volume two of two ONLY. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to front and spine. Boards have a few marks, but are otherwise in good condition. Corners bumped and worn. Wear to board edges. Spine has bumping and wear to top and bottom. Mild foxing to the page edges. Page edges are rough cut. Some foxing to endpages. Front inner hinge is cracked but holding. Rear inner hinge is cracked but holding. Textblock is cracked in a few places, but holding. Frontispiece shows b/w photograph of Edward A Wilson, with tissue paper protection intact. Mild foxing to textblock, especially to the early/late pages. 534 pp. Contains 7 coloured plates from water colour drawings by Dr Edward A Wilson, 1 coloured plate from an autochrome photograph by Herbert G Ponting. All 8 coloured plates have tissue paper protection intact. B/w photographs and illustrations throughout. 8 fold-out maps in text. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 1571g.
