Undated. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Extensive staining to boards, signs of damp. Corners bumped and worn. Wear to board edges and especially along the spine edges where the cloth is splitting. Stain to spine. Wear to spine. Spine had bumping to top and bottom. Page edges are rather grubby. Top edge gilt. Just a hint of foxing to the endpages. Textblock is cracked but holding. B/w frontispiece with tissue protection intact. Textblock has one or two grubby marks but is generally clean. 268 pp. 18 b/w illustrations. Small losses to corners of pages 73 and 75.
