Beige cloth boards with gilt lettering to front and spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners bumped and worn. Wear to board edges and especially along the spine edges where the cloth is splitting. Spine is rather tatty and coming loose. Page edges are rough cut. Top edge gilt. Age discolouration to endpages. Bookplate. Textblock is starting to crack. Colourful frontispiece with tissue protection intact. Some slight foxing to the textblock. 363 pp. 50 plates. 2 plates missing.
