Rebound. Tan cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are generally in good order, just a little shelfwear. Slight bumping to corners. Some shelfwear to board edges. Spine is slightly faded with bumping to top and bottom. Previous owner's mark. New endpages during rebinding. Rear inner hinge is cracked but holding. Repair to page A3 and one of the plates. Text is in three main parts. Dedication + Preface + (I) - A New System of Vegetation, (p1-172) + (II) - The Best Manner of Improving Flower Gardens or Parterres, (p57-172-) + (III) - Of Improving Fruit Trees, Kitchen Gardens and Green House Plants, (p173-535) + appendix (p537-608) + index + adverts (20pp). Contains 11 engraved plates, 8 of them folding. Two plates are missing, within the section 'A Description of a Green-house'. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 665g.
