Volume I: Red cloth boards with gilt lettering to front and spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Stain to rear board. Corners bumped and worn. Slight wear to board edges. Spine is faded with bumping to top and bottom. Stain to spine. Page edges are rather grubby. Decorative endpages. Previous owner's mark. Front inner hinge is cracked, some pages loosened. Rear inner hinge is cracked but holding. Frontispiece and title page are missing. Colour from rear board has bled along bottom edge of rear pages. 281 pp. Volume II: Red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Stain to rear board. Corners bumped and worn. Slight wear to board edges. Bumping to board edges. Spine is age darkened with bumping to top and bottom. Stain to spine. Page edges are rather grubby. Previous owner's mark.
