Bristol and the Great War 1914-1919

Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are generally in good order, just a little grubby. Corners bumped and worn. Wear to board edges and especially along the spine edges where the cloth is splitting. Spine is age darkened with a few spots of staining. Top of spine is missing. Mild foxing to the page edges. Page edges are rough cut. Endpages are rather grubby with some staining. Bookplate reads, 'The Committee responsible for the publication of 'Bristol and the Great War, 1914-19' have the honour to request acceptance of a copy of the book by His Excellency the Governor of Barbados, Nov., 1920'. Front inner hinge is cracked but holding. Rear inner hinge is cracked but holding. Textblock is just starting to give. B/w photographic frontispiece with tissue protection intact. Some slight foxing to the textblock. Minor marginal bookworm holes. 399 pp. Many b/w illustrations. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 1404g. (YBP Ref: 025647:1-O9)
