The journal and sketchbook of a young English Officer in the King's German Legion, Edmund Wheatley. A first-hand account of the war against Napoleon given in the form of a diary kept on active service in the field. Yellow cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are generally in good order, just rather grubby. No particular bumping to corners. Board edges are grubby and rubbed. Spine is intact and bright with just a little mild bumping to ends. Page edges are rather grubby. Endpages are a little grubby. B/w frontispiece. Textblock is in good condition, clean and tight. 95 pp. White paper dust jacket with black lettering to spine and front. Dj is in a good condition albeit with some creasing to the edges and one or two nicks. Rather grubby. Now protected by a removable plastic sleeve. Not priceclipped.
