Scarce. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and front. Emblem to front board. Top edge gilt. Boards are rubbed but otherwise in good order. Corners are bumped. Wear to board edges and especially along the spine edges where the cloth is splitting. Spine is faded with bumping to ends. Foxing to the page edges. A sticker has been removed from the ffep. B/w frontispiece of Sir George C Denton. Some foxing to both endpages and throughout. 288 pp. 63 b/w illustrations. 3 maps. All present as called for.
