Volume One: Red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Decorative blindstamping to both the front and rear boards. Boards are generally in good order, just rather grubby. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine covering is torn off. The page edges are rough cut. Rear inner hinge is beginning to crack. B/w frontispiece has ghosted to title page.
