Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Gilt emblem and blind stamping to both boards. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Has been rebacked with most of the spine relaid. Both inner hinges are cracked. Final index page has a section torn away. Textblock is rather grubby in places and there are one or two small closed tears, some of which have been professionally taped. 530 pp. Photozincograph plates all present as called for; one has a closed tear (p398) and another a very small one affecting only the margin (p82).
