Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are generally in good order. No particular bumping or wear to corners or edges. Spine is intact and bright. New endpapers, but a little grubby from old pencil marks. Textblock is pretty good, considering its age, but somewhat stained and foxed. 300 pp + a 20 page section on 'Remarks on the Invention of the Stomach-Pump' and 5 pages on 'the Clysma-Duct'. 4 coloured and 4 plain plates.
