Brown half leather boards with gilt lettering to spine. 5 raised bands to spine. Top edge gilt. Bound by Birdsall of Northampton and London in c1927. Boards are generally in good order, just a little grubby. Slight bumping to corners. Spine is a little faded with mild bumping to ends. Front inner hinge is cracked. Colour frontispiece with tissue protection. Textblock is tight, bright and clean. Some foxing to both endpages and throughout. 368 pp. Previous owner's bookplate.
