Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is age darkened with bumping to ends, very grubby. Library binding with original covers preserved. (Receipt for which is tipped in dated December 1915) Text block is tanned, but generally clean. 102 pp. Contains the usual marks of an ex-library copy. Signed by the author to an early blank, inscribed to a Miss E Newton or 4 Trafalgar Square London on September 13 1870. There is also a pencilled note suggesting this may have been a presentation copy to a relation of A Edward Newton. Additional photos are available upon request.
