Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Gilt decoration and emblem to front board. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is darkened, the cloth is splitting away and there is some loss to the top. Both inner hinges are badly cracked; some pages are loosened. Colour frontispiece. Textblock has a little foxing and would certainly benefit from the attentions of a good bookbinder. 367 pp. 6 b/w plates. All present as called for. Additional photos are available upon request.
