Red cloth boards with white lettering to spine and front. Boards are marked and generally grubby. The lettering is flaking and now rather intermittent. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is faded with bumping to ends. Cloth has split and been glued. Spotting to endpages. Front inner hinge is threatening to crack. The binding is a little loose; the bundles are separating. Textblock has one or two grubby marks but is generally pretty tidy. p50 has a closed tear to the margin. 229 pp + adverts. Previous owner's bookplate to fep. Signed by the author to the title page.
