Sketching from Nature: Part I, II & III

Undated, c1875. Part I is a 5th edition, Part 2 (Light and Shade) is a 4th edition, and Part 3 (Colour) is a 5th. Three volumes bound as one. Brown cloth boards with handwritten lettering to spine. All edges gilt. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped. At some stage the leather spine has been lost and has been repaired with brown paper. The spine repair has meant that the original ffep has become stuck too. Front inner hinge is cracked. The binding is very loose; the bundles are separating. Textblock has one or two grubby marks but is generally clean. Some fox. Previous owner's mark to original ffep dated 1876. Additional photos are available upon request.
