Red cloth boards with faded gilt lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped, edges just a little are worn. Spine is faded with bumping to ends. Slightly cocked. Age discolouration to endpages; some foxing. Signed by the author to fep. Both inner hinges are beginning to crack. The binding on the textblock is rather loose, the bundles are separating but still well held. B/w frontispiece with tissue protection intact. 495 pp. Contains some marks of an Academic Library copy.
