Scarce. This item comprises three medical dissertations or disputations submitted to George Baird, principal of Edinburgh University, bound together. 1) Disputatio Medic Quaedam de Pneumonia by Alexander Clark, published by Abernethy & Walker in 1820 20pp 2) Dissertatio Medica Inauguralis de Amaurosi by Jacobus (James) Reid, published by J Pillans & Son in 1822 22pp 3) Tentamen Medicum de Impotentia et Sterilitate by Joannes (John) Lane Green, published by Alex Smellie in 1814 22pp. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are generally in good order, just a little shelfwear. Slight bumping to corners. Spine has slight bumping to ends. Textblock is pretty good, considering its age, but there is a watermark to a number of the page edges. One page has fore edge damage suggesting it was stuck to its fellows. Contains some marks of an Academic Library copy. Each paper is inscribed to William Percival by its respective author. Additional photos are available upon request. Text in Latin. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 260g. (YBP Ref: 030175:1-A2)
