Full title reads 'The Pathology and Treatment of Stricture of the Urethra, both in the Male and Female being the Treatise for which the Jacksonian Prize, for the Year 1852, was Awarded by the College of Surgeons of England.' Green cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are generally in good order, just a little grubby. Some bumping to corners. The volume has been rebacked with the original spine cloth relaid. Light soiling to end papers and title page, otherwise a very good copy. Mild fox. 424 pp + index. 4 plates, 1 in colour. Thompson was the leading urologist of the Victorian era.
