Six issues of the Canterbury Papers issued by the Canterbury Association. This was an organisation for founding the settlement of Canterbury in New Zealand and hence this volume offers a scarce, early history of the settlement. Includes map of settlement and 8 preliminary pages. Red half leather and red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are generally in good order, just a little shelfwear. Very slight bumping to corners. Spine is slightly faded with mild bumping to ends. Age discolouration to endpages but otherwise in good order internally. Additional photos are available upon request. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 478g. (YBP Ref: 030730:1-A3)
