Purple cloth boards with faded gilt lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is very faded with bumping to ends. Foxing to the page edges. Front inner hinge is cracked, but holding. The binding is loose; the bundles are separating. B/w frontispiece. Textblock is in good condition, clean and tight. 287 pp. Previous owner's bookplate.
