Volume two only. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and front. All edges gilt. Boards are marked and generally grubby and there are various puncture marks. Boards are creased. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Cloth to the spine is torn and has been glued; has potentially been rebacked at some stage in its past. Fep is torn. Both inner hinges are beginning to crack. Textblock is in a good, clean condition. Plate six is missing but all other illustrations, maps and plans are present as called for. 506 pp. Previous owner's bookplate. Would be a good reading copy.
