Two matching volumes. Blue decorated cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped. Edgewear, especially along the spine edges where the cloth is splitting. Spine is age darkened with bumping to ends. All inner hinges are cracked. Vol 1 195 pp. Vol2 232 pp. Numerous monochrome plates after etchings by Gransmaison. Front endpaper to each volume has been excised. Some off-setting from tissueguards. Largely uncut throughout.
