Unusual. Reprint of 1906 1st edition. Pictoral card covers with black lettering to spine and cream lettering to front. Covers have been cased within a removable plastic film, stuck only to itself, not to the book covers. Label giving publishing date stuck to film not the book. No particular bumping or wear to corners or edges. Spine is intact albeit with some mild bumping to the ends. Textblock is in a good, clean condition. 332 pp. Bookplate from Kenn Back (1942-, Meteorologist for the British Antarctic Survey and descendant of the Arctic explorer Captain George Back) Additional photos are available upon request.
