Volume X of the Works of William Robertson. Fellow of the Royal Society, and Principal of the University, of Edinburgh, Historiographer to his Majesty for Scotland, and Member of the Royal Academy of History at Madrid. To which is prefixed, an Account of his Life and Writings. Brown leather boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are rather worn; the surface of the leather has been scraped away. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Outer joints are cracked, some loss to bottom of spine. Front inner hinge is twisted and puckered, looks like some re-glueing has been attempted. Some foxing. Previous owners mark to fep. Pagination: viii, 372pp. 2 folding maps. Additional photos are available upon request. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 664g.
