At a guess, i would say that the front joint has failed and has been badly glued. Both inner hinges are cracked. Front fold-out map. The binding is loose; the bundles are separating. Waterstain to fore edge. Infrequent annotations to the textblock in blue crayon. 312 pp + adverts. Previous owner's mark to title page. Probably best as a reading copy only.
