Four part in one volume, general title, engraved frontispiece to Volpone (i.e. the Fox) and pp 96, 96, 100, 35, [1] advertisement. A good copy in contemporary binding of calf gilt, morocco label (a little worn) with the bookplate of Edward Howes. However the front outer joint has failed and the front board is detached. Would need a trip to the bookbinder. The Catalogue of Plays is of considerable interest as one of the earliest attempts to list all the old English plays. The list appears comprehensive; Gorboduc (1570) is included as are other very rare and obscure Elizabethan plays such as The Wisdom of Doctor Dodypoll (1600).
