Popularly known as Sowerby's English Botany. Large volume bound in brown cloth covers, with gilt lettering to spine. Covers very neat, though there is slight staining around bottom of spine. Library binding. FEP has a library book plate. Library stamps to title page, following page, and then to bottom corner of every plate. Occasional foxing throughout volume. Contains plates DCCCLXI (861) to MXVIII (1018). Plates are hand coloured lithographs. Title page has chipping to edges. A few pages have water stains to outside bottom corner.
