The original title was changed less than two weeks after it was first issued, making this a first edition, first imprint.   Most large paper copies are 2nd imprint, which makes this extremely rare if not unique  (any example on large paper is extremely scarce).  From the library of W A Foyle, Beeleigh Abbey with burgundy morocco gilt bookplate to upper pastedown.  Woodcut initials and headpieces.  Faint early ownership inscription of Thomas Dale MD to title.  Some scattered spotting.  All edges gilt.  19th century speckled calf gilt, gilt crest to upper cover, joints and headcap worn.  352 pp.  Christie's label and catalogue clipping proving provenance.   Additional photos are available upon request.  When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 843g.
