Gilt tooled compartments to panelled spine, gilt stamp of Duke of Westminster to head of spine. Raised bands, marbled endpapers. Contains half title, steel engraved vignette half title, title, dedication, preface vii-viii pp, contents ix-xii pp, text 1-562 pp index 563-578 pp. Etched portrait as frontis. Some very slight foxing to frontis, vignette title and title but otherwise a good clean copy internally. Binder's stamp to FFEP. Bookplate of Alexander Stone to upper pastedown.
