Translated from the Norwegian of Jens Andreas Friis by William George Lock. To the rear is a section of Lock's own jottings. An account of sporting life on the rocky, barren plateaus of the Norwegian fjelds, with discussions of snipe-shooting, fishing and angling, ryper-shooting, the snowy owl, and the rutting-season of the reindeer. Original green cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Spine a little darkened, edges slightly rubbed. Both inner hinges are cracked but holding.
