Red half leather and marbled paper boards with gilt lettering to spine. All edges gilt. The binding is a problem with this one; part of the paper is missing to the front and the rear board is hanging by one thread. If this poor thread will continue to hold is very doubtful. The rear outer joint has failed causing the spine covering to flap, quite torn to both ends. Spine is also quite faded. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Rough cut page edges. Foxing to endpages, although not significantly affecting the textblock. Pagination: [xvi], 486 pp. Marks from various previous owners to an early blank. Additional photos are available upon request.
