A coherent suite of 18 double-page copper-engraved maps from Zatta's Atlante Novissimo, with contemporary hand-colouring, comprising 5 introductory regional maps of North America, followed by the engraved title and complete 11 numbered sheets, Fogli I-XI, of Le Colonie Unite dell'America Settentrionale, Zatta's celebrated Italian adaptation of John Mitchell's landmark map of North America, concluding with Messico ovvero Nuova Spagna, dated 1785. Recently rebound in half calf, retaining near-contemporary boards. Comprising: America Settentrionale divisa ne' suoi principali Stati; La Baja d'Hudson Terra di Labradour; Le Isole di Terra Nuova e Capo Breton di Nuova Projezione; Nuove Scoperte de' Russi al Nord del Mare del Sud; Il Canada, le Colonie Inglesi con la Luigiana e Florida; engraved title to Le Colonie Unite dell'America Settentrionale; Fogli I-XI of the same, incl the sheets covering Canada, the Great Lakes, New England, Pennsylvania, Virginia, the Carolinas, Florida, Louisiana and Jamaica; and Messico ovvero Nuova Spagna. Occasional light spotting and minor creasing, the maps with wide margins, strong impressions and attractive contemporary hand-colouring, generally VG. Antonio Zatta (fl.
